5/24/08 3 CommentsShe lost her fight
This morning at 5:30 am, Marilyn lost her fight with cancer. She had been fighting this for 9 years. When she was diagnosed 9 years ago, the doctors gave her 1 year to live. She was a tough, stubborn woman and refused to give into this horrible disease.
She is with God in heaven and is no longer suffering. We were saying that there are more relatives up in heaven now, than there are here on earth.. She is with my dad, and her neice and many other loved ones.
May she rest in peace!!

5/21/08 3 CommentsJust a sad note
It is all in God's hands now!!
My cousin, Marilyn is in a coma now. She was never able to come home like she wanted to. We are all just waiting for the phone call. All I have been doing is crying. I am on my way to stay with my aunt so that everyone can go to the hospital. I want to remember her the way she was, so I chose not to go.
I made sauce and meatballs and sausage to bring over with me, this way everyone can eat when they get back.

5/18/08 1 CommentUpdate about my cousin
She is back in the hospital and now she is under Hospice care. They called my aunt and told her that she really has to get things in order now. She wants to come home so badly that they may let her come home this week. There really isn't too much more they can do for her and she can get the same treatment at home. She is in so much pain now and it is all from the cancer. The only thing they can do is keep her comfortable,
My cousin called the funeral home to make an appointment to pick out her coffin and let them know her wishes. I can't believe this. She is such a fighter and she refused for so long to give up on herself and now she wants to pick out her coffin. I think she is finally accepting the fact that this is it for her and she is ready.
I have to go with my son to buy him a suit and make sure my husband's suit still fits him. We are all getting ready to hear the news. I just feel sorry for my aunt to have to go through this. Your children are not suppose to die before their parents. It makes you wonder why God sometimes plans things this way. I don't think my aunt is going to be able to handle this very well and we are all worried about her health.
We are only on this earth for a short time and we have to make the best of it while we are here. Try to live life to it's fullest and do not live with any regrets. Do what makes you happy,

5/8/08 5 CommentsMY PRIVATE PART DIED?
An old man, Mr. Wallace, was living in a nursing home. ?
One day he appeared to be very sad and depressed. ?
Nurse Tracy asked him if there was anything wrong,
'Yes, Nurse Tracy,' said Mr. Wallace.
'My Private Part died today, and I am very sad.'
Knowing her patients were a little forgetful and sometimes a little crazy, she replied, 'Oh, I'm so sorry, Mr. Wallace. Please accept my condolences.'
The following day, Mr. Wallace was walking down the hall with his Private Part hanging out of his pajamas.
He met Nurse Tracy. 'Mr. Wallace,' she said, 'You shouldn't be walking down the hall like that. ? Please put your Private Part back inside your pajamas.'
'But, Nurse Tracy I can't,' replied Mr. Wallace. ?'I told you yesterday that my Private Part died.
'Yes,' said Nurse Tracy, 'you did tell me that, but why is it hanging out of your pajamas?'
(You've gotta love this )
'Well,' he replied, 'Today is the viewing.'
